Negative Voids transforms Morphine Raum into an active sonic environment, where space becomes an interface to explore different agents of technological modes of listening. Inspired by processes of active noise control, echo cancellation, feedback suppression, and cybernetic relations, it invites artists to activate the space through gestures, performances, texts, and different sound creation approximations. Audiences enter a system where preconceived definitions of sound, silence and noise are unveiled. By reimagining how noise reduction technologies operate, Negative Voids reveals the residual and peripheral sounds that typically remain hidden at the edges of digital mediation.
Conceived as Exercises in Absence and Refusal, each evening proposes a different mode of listening:
Friday 21 – Absence: Roberta Busechian & Augustė Vickunaitė explore listening, asking what is considered noise.
Saturday 22 – Refusal: Mariana Carvalho & Nour Sokhon engage resistance — choosing what to cancel, sustain, or let bleed through.
**Both dates start at 19h and end at 22h
